Mr. Velick serves on TDG's Leadership Team. He spent 36 years in the Henry Ford Health System, holding numerous senior leadership positions including Community Hospital
Division CEO, Henry Ford Hospital CEO and Chief Administrative Officer of
the 900 physician Henry Ford Medical Group.
Steve brings an exceptional
record of innovative approaches to health care delivery. He
led the Total Quality Management efforts at Henry Ford Hospital
fostering a lasting cultural change with recognized improvements in the
quality of care, numerous process improvements and improved financial
performance.
Mr. Velick was
active in the community on a local, state and national level. He was a
past chairman of the Metro Section Governance Council of the American
Hospital Association, a former board member of the Michigan Health and
Hospital Association, and past chair of the Southeast Michigan Health
Council, and Past Chair of the New Center Council. Steve's other
affiliations included various hospital boards, Michigan's Statewide
Reimbursement Committee, the Van Patrick Memorial Foundation. He is a
Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Mr. Velick earned his BA and MBA in Business from Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan . He completed the Advanced Leadership Healthcare Program at the University of Michigan Business School.
